Exploring Theory, for the Adult Student

This class will cover the basics of music reading including intervals, sol-fegge, key signatures, major & minor scales and note naming on the treble and bass staves. Basic rhythmic notation will be reviewed and tailored to those in the group. Practice exercises will be included. Examples of different choral and instrumental pieces will be studied along with meaning of Italian musical terms regarding dynamics, tempos, and more.
